About OPS
The economics of practicing law have changed radically in the last several years. To compete and succeed in today's market, solo practitioners and law firms must reduce overhead and maximize staffing flexibility, but still must provide quality service to their clients.
At OPS, we provide paralegal services by the hour as an independent contractor. This allows you to provide your clients quality paralegal services without the overhead cost of retaining a full-time paralegal staff. Our billing model allows you to either (i) pass these cost savings along to your client directly or (ii) use this cost savings as a profit center for your firm.
Flexibility is also a major (and obvious) benefit of using OPS. You can scale the number of hours you use a paralegal according to your needs. A litigator's work volume fluctuates over time and you only pay for the time you need, only when you need it.
OPS is not a law firm. We provide freelance paralegal services to attorneys in good standing with their state's bar association. OPS does not work with the general public, give legal advice or supply legal forms to non-attorneys. Nevada Rule of Professional Conduct 5.3 requires paralegals to work under the supervision of an attorney, who accepts responsibility for their professional conduct.
Tami Reilly is the Owner and Senior Paralegal at OPS. She has been a certified paralegal for over twenty-five years and has worked at some of the most prestigious local and national law firms in Nevada and California. Tami has closely and effectively assisted attorneys through all levels of litigation, including personal injury cases (plaintiff and defense), workers compensation, medical malpractice, complex construction defect matters involving major Las Vegas resort/casino properties, highly-publicized federal criminal trial assistance, national products liability litigation, complex local and international corporate litigation, District and Federal Court trials, and appeals to the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit. Tami also has extensive experience preparing and reviewing commercial contracts for large construction and transportation projects.
